Application Requirements

1. Completed application form

2. Ages 17-30

3. Age verification document: passport, state ID or any other official document

4. Letter of recommendation from current or most recent teacher. Emailed directly to chopin@thekf.org

5. Biography of up to 200 words suitable for publicity including musical studies, academic institutions, participation in master classes, recent teachers, competitions attended, and awards received.  

6. YouTube links of preliminary round performance.  Three-four separate links. 1) Etudes 2) Nocturne 3) Mazuraks 4) Free Choice (optional)

7. Full competition repertoire for preliminary, semifinal, and final round.

8. Digital high resolution photo

9. Masterclass with competition jury as part of the Chopin Piano Academy.  Eligible for contestants not chosen for the final round. Participation is optional.

10. Non refundable application fee $150

11. Applications are to be submitted no later than Friday January 12, 2024 at 11:59 PM EST.
